If you have been following SPEAKout Poetry lately, you know that a lot of changes have been happening. The team has been busy working with a new set of updates. We have some news, which is regarding Ideas Worth Rhyming (IWR). IWR is SPEAKout’s joint effort with National Youth Arts Week (NYAW) aimed for early May. Given that we are nearing the end of March and with less than two months left, SPEAKout has been having second thoughts about executing IWR in such short notice. Of course, this team firmly believes that we can make IWR happen. However, given the limited time frame an event of such ambitious scope would not fit in for the first week in May. As this city bids adieu to another day the hours tick away ushering in a dawn of a brand new beginning. This date won’t be like any another for it won’t be just another Saturday. In the eerie afterglow of winter night Hamiltonians know that a great presence is about to take over their city. In the dead of winter, fallen snow glistens against the dark of the night.
