Chris Tse once scored a point in a fight with Chuck Norris. He then retired from competitive cage-fighting and turned his attention to poetry, which he says is a “different sort of beast altogether.” The 21-year-old, originally from Coquitlam, British Columbia, is the 2010 Capital Slam champion and captain of the Capital Slam team that will be competing at Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in October. He has appeared on CBC Radio, CTV, in the Vancouver Sun and the Ottawa Citizen, and is the poet behind the viral youtube video, “I’m Sorry I’m a Christian”. His goal is to educate as many people as will listen on the importance of love for self, love for others, and love for the world.”
