Jordon Veira aka JV da’ Poet Grew up with his pen as his comforter and paper for his pillow. He learned how to express himself, be optimistic and see the sky for the blue and not the clouds by refining his artistic talents. “Spoken word poetry combines his two favorite things; ‘performing and writing’. Through his love of the art form he is working on earning the title as an official Canadian Dub-poet. Jordon Veira started a group comprised of seven youth called Spoke N’ Heard through which he has created opportunities for other up & coming young performers to exhibit their talents on stage. He just produced a poetry and painting showcase at the Trane Studio in May of this year. Jordon feels that spoken word is a blessing and that through spoken word he is not only able to talk and perform about his own experiences, but he’s also been able to relate to other people who share similar experiences. He is a firm believer in positivity and love. Jordon’s goals are to liberate, educate and motivate all those who are influenced by his work and to one day be a successful film director along with his poetry.
