After teaching himself to play the piano at the tender age of six, it became very apparent to those around him that music would play a significant role in the life of Rel. A relative unknown in the GTA hip hop scene, Rel began his music career as a producer for the group “Nu Beings” in the late 90′s. In late 2005 Rel’s first book Road Block, a collection of 10 short stories that reflects on his life and the obstacles life can present. Today Rel has evolved into a producer/lyricist. His First CD, The Road Less Travelled, features revolutionary, and universally-themed, thought-provoking lyrics poured from the heart of the Emcee, smoothly blended with melodic instrumentals.
