Ysura is a Kenyan born spoken word artist from Toronto whose roots lie in Sudan. Spoken word is no longer just a passion for her, but she feels it is a duty to speak on important issues and feels very responsible for her generation. She is using what millions of women and girls around the world are not allowed to have, and that is a voice. Combining a passion for social justice, and creative arts she aims to produce spoken word that is authentic and impactful.
