Ahmed came to Canada at the age of 10 after having been born and raised in Cairo, Egypt . He loves basketball and was a varsity basketball player for four years while completing his undergrad in International Relations at UofT. He believes in the power of words to penetrate hearts and understands that critical dialogue is the key to breaking barriers to reach true conviviality and peace, and that is why he became involved with SPEAKout.
Ahmed’s involvement in SPEAKout ended earlier in 2011 when he moved back to Egypt, and became heavily involved in several social initiatives in the country post the revolution.
